Cosmetics
It’s lovely to look lovely and cosmetics help that happen. But only up to a point.
See, one of the problems with cosmetics is that you never quite know what you are putting on your face. Certainly not if you were, to pick a completely random example, Queen Elizabeth I or, indeed, a whole lot of other Elizabethan era men and women. Basically, no one knew or cared what was going on their skin as long as it had the desired effect. Which, by and large, it did. But it also had a whole bunch of other effects, so let’s talk about those.
